The Echelon 4.0C is the compact 9mm variant of Springfield Armory's modular striker-fired line, built around a removable stainless-steel Central Operating Group and an optics-ready slide using the Variable Interface System. It combines a hammer-forged Melonite-treated 4 in barrel, a slim 1.2 in profile, and a 24 oz weight with duty-ready features and two 15-round steel magazines.

The compact 4.0C configuration delivers a 4 in hammer-forged, Melonite-treated steel barrel chambered in 9mm Luger, with the barrel marked 9x19. Overall dimensions are factory-listed at 7.25 in length, 5.125 in height, and 1.2 in width for a balance of concealability and control.
The slide features Springfield's Variable Interface System optics cut with a cover plate, along with front and rear cocking serrations for confident manipulation. A black slide finish matches the black polymer frame for a clean, uniform look.
At the core is the removable, serialized stainless-steel Central Operating Group, providing a robust chassis foundation. The frame uses aggressive stippling and includes interchangeable backstraps to tailor fit. Controls include a push-button magazine release and a flat-faced trigger with an integral safety blade.
Factory U-notch rear sights with a white outline pair to a high-visibility front dot with a yellow/green ring for fast alignment. Two steel double-stack magazines are included, each with witness holes numbered to 15, supporting a 15+1 capacity.
