This Model 200 uses the Savage 110-type action with a barrel-nut system, offering precise headspacing and reliable cycling. It is chambered in .243 Winchester and feeds from a blind internal magazine with a 4+1 capacity. Ejection is through a right-side port.
The 22 in sporter-profile barrel is carbon steel with a blued finish, recessed crown, and is unthreaded. The receiver is carbon steel with a matching blued finish and is drilled and tapped, with two-piece scope bases installed. There are no iron sights.
Controls are straightforward, with a tang-mounted, three-position safety and a standard, non-AccuTrigger. The design emphasizes simple, dependable operation suitable for a wide range of shooting needs.
The gray synthetic stock features molded checkering, a straight comb, and a recoil pad for a solid shoulder fit. Sling swivel studs are installed, and the length of pull measures 13.0 in. Rollmark indicates manufacture by Savage Arms in Westfield, Massachusetts, USA, circa 2005–2013.
