This PSA PSAK-S is a customized AKM-pattern pistol chambered in 7.62x39 with a 13.7 in threaded barrel. Notable upgrades include a JL Billet FA-AKR M-LOK aluminum handguard with an integral 1913 top rail section, a side-folding triangular rear brace, a cylindrical flash-can muzzle device, and a Magpul polymer AK grip. It features a stamped, riveted receiver made in the United States and comes with one 30-round Magpul PMAG magazine.

The PSAK-S uses the AK long-stroke piston system with a rotating bolt and a 90-degree gas block, built on a stamped, riveted AKM-pattern receiver with magazine well dimples and a smooth top cover. Receiver markings include Palmetto State Armory, West Columbia SC, model PSAK-S, and caliber 7.62x39mm, with the right-side Palmetto crossed-cannon logo and selector markings S and A.
The 13.7 in barrel is threaded and fitted with a cylindrical flash-can muzzle device. No pin or weld evidence is observed on the device. The right-side charging handle is reciprocating, and the pistol uses a manual safety.
The JL Billet Force Alignment AK Rail (FA-AKR) aluminum handguard provides M-LOK attachment slots and an integral 1913 top rail section. Sights consist of a protected front post and a tangent leaf rear sight graduated to 10.
Furniture includes a left-side folding triangular rear brace made of metal with a hook-and-loop strap and a Magpul polymer AK pistol grip. The pistol has a 30+1 capacity and includes one Magpul PMAG 30-round magazine. Matching last-four digits 6275 are noted on multiple parts.
