Springfield Armory Echelon 4.0C 9mm Compact, Striker-Fired, Optics-Ready, 4.0 in Barrel, Black
The Echelon 4.0C is the compact 9mm variant of Springfield Armory's modular striker-fired series, launched December 3, 2024. It pairs a 4.0 in hammer-forged barrel with a billet-machined steel slide and the VIS direct-mount optics system, all built on a serialized COG chassis designed and produced by HS Produkt in Croatia. Capacity is 17+1, with steel U-Dot sights installed from the factory.

The compact 4.0C configuration maintains the Echelon series' modular serialized Central Operating Group (COG) chassis, allowing the fire-control unit to be moved between compatible grip modules. This delivers a durable stainless steel core with polymer grip flexibility.
The Variable Interface System (VIS) provides a low, direct-mount footprint and self-locking pins, giving compatibility with 30+ micro red-dot patterns. The slide is billet-machined steel with a Melonite finish, forward and rear cocking serrations, and top-edge serrations, plus an optics-ready cut with a cover plate secured by Torx screws.
The 4.0 in hammer-forged barrel features a Melonite finish and a 1:10 twist. Factory U-Dot steel sights include a tritium/luminescent front dot with a yellow ring and a Tactical Rack U-notch rear for robust, clear sighting.
Ergonomics include interchangeable backstraps and a 1913/Picatinny accessory rail with four slots on the dust cover. Factory dimensions are approximately 7.25 in in length, 5.125 in in height, and 1.2 in grip width, with an unloaded weight around 24 oz with the flush magazine.
