The Range XP configuration centers on a 22" spiral-fluted, free-floated steel barrel with a 1:8 twist to pair well with common 6.5 Creedmoor bullet lengths. The barrel is threaded at the muzzle and fitted with a cylindrical radial-port brake; a thread protector is included for use when the brake is removed. Weatherby finishes the metalwork in Graphite Black Cerakote for added durability.
The Model 307 action features a spiral-fluted bolt body with a swept bolt handle, an M16-style extractor, and a plunger ejector. A left-side bolt release and a two-position safety provide straightforward operation. The TriggerTech Field single-stage trigger is user-adjustable, allowing the shooter to tailor pull weight within the trigger's design range.
The composite stock is finished in an olive/gray scheme and is built for stability and fit. It includes an adjustable cheekpiece, spacer-adjustable length of pull (set to 13.75"), a recoil pad, a near-vertical pistol grip with textured panels, and dual front sling studs plus a rear stud for flexible sling or bipod placement.
This rifle uses an AICS-pattern detachable box magazine system with a 5+1 capacity. The included magazine is a Magpul polymer PMAG marked 7.62x51, compatible with 6.5 Creedmoor. Up top, a Leupold-marked one-piece Picatinny scope rail comes installed, and the receiver’s optics-base hole pattern follows Stiller/Savage spacing. The Model 307 line carries Weatherby’s sub-MOA accuracy guarantee.
