What’s Included
- FN Model 24/30 Venezuelan Contract Short Rifle chambered in 7x57mm Mauser
Built by FN Herstal for Venezuela in the 1930s, this contract short rifle carries the Venezuelan national crest on the receiver ring and the FN Herstal legend on the left receiver wall. Belgian proofmarks including 'PV' and the perron are present, aligning with its Belgian manufacture and inspection.
The rifle uses a Mauser 98-pattern action with a charger clip guide and an internal 5-round box magazine. It retains the classic straight bolt handle with a round knob and a three-position safety. Chambering is 7x57mm Mauser, a period-correct cartridge widely adopted in export Mauser contracts.
Its short-rifle layout includes two barrel bands and an H-style nose cap with a bayonet lug. The ventilated upper handguard has two elongated cooling slots. Notably, the bolt and receiver ring are left in the white, contrasted by blued small parts.
Sighting equipment consists of a tangent rear sight graduated to 2000 and a protected front post with ears. The hardwood stock features a straight wrist, a cross-bolt, and a left-side buttstock sling swivel. The length of pull measures 12.75 inches, and the stock serial number matches the receiver.
