The Echelon 4.0C Comp is the integrally compensated compact variant of Springfield Armory's Echelon series, identified by product code EC9409B-U-COMP. It pairs a billet-machined steel slide with a hammer-forged, Melonite-treated 4 in barrel and the Springfield VIS direct-mount optics interface with a cover plate. Fully ambidextrous controls, a modular stainless-steel COG chassis, and the U-Dot sight system round out a configuration aimed at practical performance.

This compact 9mm is built around a modular, serialized stainless-steel Central Operating Group (COG) chassis housed in a black polymer frame with interchangeable backstraps. It feeds from 15-round steel magazines for a total capacity of 15+1.
The billet-machined steel slide wears a black Melonite finish and features front and rear cocking serrations, topside traction cuts, and an integral compensator port. The hammer-forged barrel is Melonite-treated, measures 4 in, has a 1:10 twist, and includes integral compensator and porting features.
Sights are the U-Dot system with a U-notched rear and a tritium/luminescent front dot for rapid reference. The slide incorporates Springfield's VIS direct-mount optics interface with a cover plate.
Controls are fully ambidextrous, including the slide stop and magazine release, and the striker-fired action uses a trigger safety with an integrated safety blade. A 1913-pattern 3-slot accessory rail is machined into the dustcover. The pistol is marked "HS PRODUKT MADE IN CROATIA" and lists Croatia as the country of origin. MSRP is $749.
