Springfield Armory Echelon 4.0C 9mm Compact, 4" Barrel, 15+1, Optics-Cut, Black
The Springfield Armory Echelon 4.0C is a compact 9mm launched on December 3, 2024, built around a modular, serialized stainless-steel chassis and a hammer-forged 4" barrel. It features the VIS direct-mount interface with an optics-cut slide and cover plate, fully ambidextrous controls, and high-visibility day/night sights. The pistol offers a 15+1 standard capacity in a durable Melonite-treated, black-finished package.
The slide includes front and rear serrations plus a top press-check trench for quick status checks. A tritium/luminescent front sight pairs with a Tactical Rack U-Dot rear for fast alignment. The polymer frame uses textured grip surfaces with index pads and a 3-slot Picatinny accessory rail for light or laser attachment.
Its Modular Central Operating Group (COG) serves as the serialized stainless-steel receiver, housed in a black polymer frame for durability and serviceability. The barrel is steel, non-threaded, hammer-forged, and Melonite finished with a 1:10 twist. The slide is Melonite treated and finished in black.
Controls are user-focused: a fully ambidextrous slide stop and a reversible magazine release accommodate varied setups. The striker-fired action uses a trigger safety with an integral safety tab. Standard capacity is 15+1, and the compact size balances concealability with shootability. The Echelon series itself debuted in 2023.
