The Axis action is a right-hand bolt with a round knob and a tang safety for intuitive operation. The receiver is carbon steel with a matte blued finish and is drilled and tapped. Two-piece scope bases with rings are installed, and a Bushnell 4-12x40mm scope is attached to complete the package.
The 22 in sporter-contour barrel is carbon steel with a matte blued finish, unthreaded with a plain crown. This straightforward configuration keeps the rifle trim and easy to handle while maintaining a clean profile.
The black synthetic stock is fixed with an integral trigger guard and a 13.25 in length of pull. Textured grip areas aid control, and sling swivel studs are installed front and rear to support carry or bipod mounting.
The detachable box magazine provides a stated 3+1 capacity in 6.5 Creedmoor. The Axis platform is derived from the Savage 110-series and uses a barrel-nut system and a floating bolt head. There are no iron sights on this rifle, and the included Bushnell optic uses a 1 in tube and an adjustable objective for fine focus.
