The JAKL platform pairs a long-stroke gas piston system with a side-charging setup, featuring a knurled charging knob. This configuration keeps the controls straightforward while providing a distinct operating layout compared to traditional rear-charging designs.
This rifle is finished in FDE/tan on the metal receiver, with a matching FDE/tan appearance across the main assemblies. The receiver is marked "PALMETTO STATE ARMORY" and "WEST COLUMBIA S.C.," along with the model and caliber markings noted.
Up top, the integrated full-length Picatinny rail provides continuous mounting space along the upper/handguard assembly. The free-float M-LOK handguard is metal and set up for modular accessory placement through the M-LOK interface.
