The Dawson Precision Optic plate is installed with its integral rear sight, paired to a green fiber-optic front sight. Markings include a U.S. flag rollmark, "STACCATO" and "FLORENCE, TX USA" on the frame, and "STACCATO P" and "20★11" on the slide.

The single-action, hammer-fired design uses a metal frame and matte black slide with front and rear cocking serrations and a lowered/flared ejection port. The bushingless, bull-profile barrel measures 4.5 inches and is flush with the slide muzzle for a clean front profile.
Controls include an ambidextrous manual thumb safety and a beavertail grip safety. A skeletonized, serrated trigger and skeletonized rowel hammer complete the fire-control setup.
The Dawson Precision Optic (DPO) plate is installed and incorporates a black, serrated square-notch rear sight. It aligns with a green fiber-optic front sight for a clear sight picture while maintaining the plate interface.
The 2011-pattern modular polymer grip carries molded texture and a star logo, with a flared magazine well integrated into the grip module. The full-length dustcover includes an integral accessory rail, and capacity is 17+1 with the included magazines.
