This Kahr PM40 from the Premium Series is a compact .40 S&W carry pistol with a two-tone look, a stainless 3.1 inch barrel with polygonal rifling, and factory-installed tritium night sights. It combines a matte stainless slide over a black polymer frame, a DAO striker-fired system with a 7.0 lb trigger, and a slim 0.94 inch slide width. It comes with three factory magazines and the original Kahr hard case and manual.

The PM40’s micro dimensions make it easy to carry without giving up .40 S&W performance. It measures 5.47 inches in overall length, 4.0 inches in height, and just 0.94 inches in slide width, with an unloaded weight of approximately 15.8 ounces. The two-tone configuration pairs a matte stainless slide with a black polymer frame.
The 3.1 inch stainless steel barrel uses polygonal rifling with a 1:16 RH twist. The stainless slide runs on steel frame inserts, and features rear slide serrations and dovetailed sight cuts for durability and serviceability.
This is a DAO, striker-fired pistol with a short-recoil, locked-breech design. The trigger is rated at 7.0 pounds. Safety features include a passive striker block, with no magazine disconnect and no external manual safety.
Factory night sights are installed, with a Trijicon tritium front sight marked "H3 13" and a tritium rear sight. These provide a clear low-light sight picture matched to the PM40’s compact role.
Capacity is 6+1, and this pistol includes three factory steel magazines (1x 6-round and 2x 5-round). Kahr specifies a 200-round break-in period. Made in the United States.
