Manufactured by Carl Walther in Germany and imported by Umarex USA, this rifle carries German proof/date codes and clear importer markings. It is a licensed Colt Tactical Rimfire model built on a clamshell-style polymer receiver with AR-15 styling and controls.
The straight-blowback action is tuned for .22 LR and includes an adjustable bolt-speed screw to optimize reliability across different loads. It uses proprietary magazines and provides an internal last-round bolt hold-open. The external bolt-catch paddle is cosmetic, mirroring centerfire M4 controls; certain other M4-style exterior details are present for appearance only.
The 16.2-inch M4-profile barrel has a 1:13.75 RH twist and is threaded at the muzzle, capped with an A2 flash hider. The rifle incorporates a flat-top Picatinny receiver rail, an ejection-port cover, and a brass deflector. Sighting is handled by a fixed A2 front sight post and a detachable A2-style rear aperture.
Ergonomics are true to the M4 layout with a 6-position telescoping stock and an A2-pattern pistol grip. A carbine-length polymer handguard provides top (12 o'clock) and bottom (6 o'clock) rails, with smooth, vented sides at 3 and 9 o'clock; this example has a polymer angled foregrip installed. A manual safety completes the control set.
