This Palmetto State Armory KS-47 Gen 2 blends the AR-15 platform with 7.62x39 performance and AK-pattern magazine compatibility. It features a 16 in 4150 steel black-nitride barrel with 5/8x24 threads, a free-float aluminum M-LOK handguard with a continuous top Picatinny rail, and forged 7075-T6 receivers finished in hard-coat anodized black. Gen 2 updates include a single large feed ramp, enlarged gas port, built-in magazine over-insertion stops, and revised bolt-lug geometry. The factory box label dated 01/23/2026 matches the rifle’s serial.

The KS-47 Gen 2 is designed around AK-pattern 7.62x39 magazines and uses an AK-style paddle magazine release, combining familiar AR controls with proven AK magazine geometry. Receiver markings read MODEL: KS-47G2 and CALIBER: 7.62x39, with PALMETTO STATE ARMORY, WEST COLUMBIA, SC and selector positions SAFE/FIRE.
Its 16 in 4150 steel barrel is black-nitride treated, threaded 5/8x24, and paired with an A2-style flash hider. A carbine-length gas system and a 0.750 in low-profile gas block support reliable cycling with this caliber. The 1:10 RH twist is suited to common 7.62x39 bullet weights.
The free-float aluminum handguard provides M-LOK slots at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock and a continuous top Picatinny rail measuring about 13 in. The upper includes an ejection port cover and forward assist. There are no factory sights installed, allowing the user to set up the rifle to preference.
Forged 7075-T6 receivers with a hard-coat anodized black finish keep weight to about 6 lb 10 oz. The collapsible 6-position polymer stock with QD sling socket, along with a black polymer AR-pattern pistol grip, rounds out a practical configuration. Overall length is approximately 32.5–35.75 in.
