Manufactured by HS Produkt in Croatia and imported by Springfield Armory, this Echelon variant is marked "HS PRODUKT MADE IN CROATIA" and designated submodel 4.5F. It uses Springfield’s serialized Central Operating Group stainless-steel chassis nested in an FDE polymer frame, giving the pistol its modular core while keeping overall weight low and durability high.
The black slide includes deep front and rear serrations, a rear slide flare, and a forward trench relief cut. The Variable Interface System provides a direct-mount, multi-footprint optics-ready cut topped by a two-screw cover plate when irons are used. U-Dot steel sights pair a white-ring tritium/luminescent front with a white-outlined U-notch Tactical Rack rear for a fast, defined sight picture.
Controls are fully ambidextrous, with both the slide stop and magazine release mirrored. Safety features include a prominent loaded-chamber indicator marked "LOADED WHEN OUT!" and a magazine disconnect. The dustcover’s 4-slot Picatinny rail supports common lights or accessories without adapters.
The 4.5-inch hammer-forged steel barrel has a Melonite/nitride finish and a 1:10 RH twist. The striker-fired, short-recoil, tilting-barrel action is tuned for duty-length performance, and the aggressive frame stippling, textured index pads, and interchangeable backstraps help tailor the grip.
