Manufactured in 1981 (HK date code IB) and imported prior to the July 7, 1989 restriction on HK93-type rifles, this example offers documented pre-ban status with West German proof marks (eagle over N and Ulm antler) and H&K Inc., Arlington, VA import marking. The receiver is steel, consistent with the 90-series build standards.
Configured in the A2 pattern, it retains the fixed black polymer stock with sling loop and the slim polymer forearm. Controls include a two-position selector marked 0–1, a right-side push-button magazine release, and the signature left-side charging handle with forward cocking handle placement.
The 16.14-inch barrel is threaded M15x1 RH and is fitted with an HK 3-prong open-front flash hider. The twist rate is 1:12. Sighting is via the HK hooded front post and rotary diopter rear drum, providing the classic HK sight picture.
