This Palmetto State Armory JAKL in 5.56 NATO stands out with its long-stroke gas piston system, bufferless internal recoil assembly, and Flat Dark Earth finish. It uses a monolithic aluminum upper/handguard with a continuous 1913 top rail and M-LOK slots, a reversible side-charging handle, and an adjustable gas block accessible from the top/front window. A pinned and welded three-prong muzzle device brings the 14.5 in barrel to a compliant 16 in overall barrel length.

The JAKL employs a long-stroke gas piston action paired with an adjustable gas block you can access through the top/front window. This layout offers straightforward gas tuning while maintaining a compact, streamlined front end.
Its bufferless design houses the recoil system internally, enabling the folding stock to function without an external receiver extension. The stock provides adjustable length of pull and is finished in FDE to match the receiver.
The upper is a one-piece monolithic aluminum assembly that integrates the handguard. A continuous 1913 top rail runs the full length, and M-LOK slots at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock support accessory placement as needed. No sights are installed from the factory.
The barrel is threaded 1/2x28 and fitted with a three-prong muzzle device that is pinned and welded, bringing the 14.5 in barrel to a 16 in overall barrel length. Controls include a reversible side-charging handle and a Magpul MOE SL pistol grip. Capacity is 30+1.
