What’s Included
- Winchester Model 1895 Saddle Ring Carbine chambered in .30-40 Krag
The Model 1895 action uses a fixed internal box magazine with a 5+1 capacity and a top-ejecting bolt. This carbine configuration pairs a 22 in. barrel with a non-hooded blade front sight and a barrel-mounted folding ladder rear sight, giving it the classic SRC sighting setup.
Stocked in walnut with a straight grip, the carbine buttplate includes a trapdoor for the cleaning rod compartment. The fore-end is the two-piece carbine style with an upper handguard and a lower forearm featuring a grasping groove. Length of pull measures 12.5 in.
Correct period markings are present: the receiver ring is marked .30 ARMY, the top tang carries the factory model and trademark legend, and the left-side Winchester address/patent legend is intact. A Winchester oval 'WP' proof is present, along with a 'B' inspector/assembly stamp on the lower tang.
Built in the United States in the post-WWI era (1921), this Winchester Repeating Arms Model 1895 Saddle Ring Carbine retains defining features of the SRC variant, including the saddle ring on the left side of the receiver, exposed hammer, and steel receiver construction.
