The M&P-15 uses a semi-automatic, direct impingement system with aluminum receivers finished in a hard-anodized matte. The flat-top upper provides a continuous Picatinny rail and includes a forward assist, case deflector, and ejection-port cover. An A2 flash suppressor is fitted to the threaded muzzle.
The Daniel Defense Omega free-float quad rail is a notable upgrade, delivering a rigid Picatinny interface on all four sides for mounting accessories. This rifle includes polymer rail covers and a vertical foregrip already installed for a secure support-hand interface.
Optics are handled by a Vortex Strike Eagle 1-8x24 LPVO in a one-piece cantilever mount, offering a broad magnification range for close to mid-distance use. There are no iron sights installed.
Furniture includes a 6-position, collapsible M4-type polymer stock with an approximate 10–13.5 inch length-of-pull range and an A2 pistol grip.
