This California roster 1911 EMP Compact (PI9209LCA) is a purpose-built, short-action 9mm 1911 with a reduced grip circumference and single-stack design. It pairs a matte stainless slide with a forged aluminum-alloy frame, fixed 3-dot tritium night sights, and a 3-inch bushingless bull barrel. Offered in excellent condition, it includes three 9-round magazines and factory packaging.

Engineered specifically around the 9mm cartridge, the EMP uses reworked 1911 dimensions and internal parts to deliver a shorter action and a trimmer grip profile. The result is a compact, single-stack pistol with a 9+1 capacity tailored to the caliber.
The 3-inch stainless, bushingless bull barrel is ramped and paired with a reverse plug and full-length guide rod recoil system. Its 1:16 twist supports 9mm performance in the EMP's compact format.
The slide is matte stainless with rear serrations and a lowered, flared ejection port, while the forged aluminum-alloy frame wears a black finish for a durable two-tone presentation. Controls include a left-side thumb safety, a beavertail grip safety with memory pad, a skeletonized commander-style hammer, and a skeletonized three-hole trigger.
Sights are fixed, low-profile, dovetailed 3-dot tritium night sights front and rear for a clean, snag-resistant profile with illuminated aiming references.
This PI9209LCA variant is California compliant and made in the United States. Factory markings include EMP CAL 9mm and SPRINGFIELD ARMORY on the slide, SPRINGFIELD INC. GENESEO IL USA on the frame, and S.A. 9MM on the chamber. The factory box end label corresponds to the frame serial.
