The Classic 4.25 configuration uses a Commander-length 4.25 inch bushing barrel with a GI-style recoil spring plug and a non-railed dust cover. The slide carries forward and rear slanted cocking serrations, plus a serrated top sighting plane to cut glare.
Controls and ergonomics include an ambidextrous thumb safety and a beavertail grip safety with a memory bump. A long, skeletonized three-hole trigger and a skeletonized loop hammer round out the fire-control features.
The forged steel frame is checkered on the front strap and paired with a flat checkered mainspring housing. An integrated two-piece blended magazine well speeds reloads while maintaining clean lines.
Sight picture is a dovetailed three-dot set with serrated faces: a front blade with a single white dot and a rear square-notch with two white dots. Markings include TRP on the right slide, Springfield Armory with crest on the left slide, and S.A. .45AUTO on the barrel hood. The pistol ships with reddish-brown checkered grips bearing a triangle logo, and includes spare tan/black textured panels.
