Manufactured in West Germany during the 1984–1993 era, this Sauer 200 is marked MADE IN W. GERMANY and carries the receiver rollmark SAUER 200. It reflects the classic blued-steel and walnut configuration associated with this period of Sauer production.
The Sauer 200’s modular switch-barrel design allows the bolt to lock directly into the barrel. Its multi-lug push-feed bolt uses a plunger ejector and a small claw extractor for positive handling and ejection.
The 24-inch sporter-profile barrel is cleanly executed and comes without open sights. The receiver is a hard-anodized aluminum-alloy housing and features integral raised mounting bosses with transverse holes and is drilled and tapped for scope mounts.
The walnut stock has a checkered pistol grip and fore-end, a rubber recoil pad, and a front fixed sling eye with a rear swivel stud. Length of pull measures 14.5 inches, offering a comfortable hunting rifle fit.
Feeding is via a detachable single-column steel magazine with a 3+1 capacity. A tang safety with a red indicator provides an intuitive, easy-to-see status at a glance.
