The A17-specific delayed-blowback action is purpose-built for the .17 HMR, delivering semi-automatic performance with a right-side ejection port and charging handle. The detachable A17-pattern rotary magazine system supports high-capacity use as configured.
The rifle features a 22 inch carbon steel barrel with a sporter contour, finished in blued and non-threaded. A blued steel receiver is drilled and tapped, with two-piece scope bases already installed. There are no iron sights, providing a clean top for mounting glass.
Savage’s user-adjustable AccuTrigger allows fine-tuning to the shooter’s preference. Safety is addressed with a cross-bolt safety and a trigger safety blade.
The black synthetic stock is built for practical field use, featuring sling swivel studs, a rubber buttpad, a pistol grip, and a straight comb. Length of pull is 13.75 inches for a comfortable, consistent mount.
Capacity is 25+1 as configured. Inspector’s stampings are present on the barrel shank, and the rifle is made in the USA.
