Built as a Custom Shop CDP (LG) setup, this Solo features the CDP package with Carry Melt de-horned edges and fixed low-profile 3-dot tritium night sights. The slide wears a satin silver finish with both front and rear serrations, while the matte black aluminum frame keeps weight down for discreet carry.
The 2.7 in stainless steel barrel uses an hourglass contour and the pistol employs a dual recoil-spring system, both designed to aid feeding and extraction. The action is striker-fired, recoil-operated, and semi-automatic, chambered in 9mm Luger with a 6+1 capacity.
Controls include an ambidextrous manual thumb safety. The trigger is a double-action style striker system with a pre-cocked feel and a listed 7.0 lb pull, configured for consistent operation in a compact platform.
Ergonomics and aiming are enhanced by checkered translucent red polymer Crimson Trace Lasergrips with a front-activation red laser, complementing the tritium night sights for low-light capability. Kimber literature for the Solo recommended 124–147-grain defensive loads.
