This FN America SCAR 17S stands out with its Flat Dark Earth finish, 16.5-inch free-floated steel barrel with a multi-port muzzle brake, and a monolithic aluminum upper carrying a full-length, numbered MIL-STD-1913 top rail. It features ambidextrous controls, a left-side charging handle, and a side-folding, telescoping stock with adjustable length of pull. It comes with two 20-round steel SCAR 17 magazines and shows very good overall condition with an excellent, mirror-bright bore.

The SCAR 17S uses a short-stroke gas piston system with a rotating bolt, chambered in 7.62x51 NATO for 20+1 capacity using proprietary SCAR-H pattern magazines. The 16.5-inch free-floated steel barrel is threaded and fitted with a multi-port muzzle brake to help manage recoil and muzzle rise.
Controls are designed for versatility, with an ambidextrous safety selector and ambidextrous magazine release. A left-side charging handle supports efficient manipulation while keeping the firing hand in place.
The rifle’s monolithic aluminum upper integrates a full-length, numbered MIL-STD-1913 top rail for mounting, with additional Picatinny rail segments at the 3 and 6 o’clock positions on the forend. A folding front sight is mounted on the gas block. The lower module is polymer to reduce weight, and the overall finish is Flat Dark Earth.
The stock side-folds and telescopes, offering an adjustable length of pull and a rubber buttpad for a stable shoulder interface. Receiver markings include FN Columbia, SC USA and the FN oval logo roll mark, with selector markings designated “S” and “1.”
