This full-size 9mm double-stack 1911 stands out with an integrally compensated, bushingless 5 inch bull barrel and Springfield Armory's steel Agency Optic System (AOS) interface. The Comp AOS configuration features an integrally compensated design with a single top port machined through both the barrel and slide. A long top serration rib and front/rear cocking serrations provide consistent purchase for slide manipulation.
The AOS steel plate interface is optics-ready and accepts compatible plates and optics; some plate options incorporate a rear sight. A tritium front sight is positioned behind the compensator port for a clear sight picture. This setup delivers a durable mounting interface that remains aligned with the pistol's robust steel slide.
The forged-steel frame wears a black Cerakote finish and a full-length dustcover with a multi-slot Picatinny rail. A polymer double-stack grip module with aggressive texture and a flared magazine well supports fast, confident reloads.
Controls and fire control components follow proven 1911 patterns: single-action, hammer-fired operation; a skeletonized, three-hole trigger with overtravel screw; a skeletonized hammer; and ambidextrous thumb safety with a beavertail grip safety and memory bump. Capacity is 20+1, and this pistol includes one 20-round magazine.
