This late-production MK IV/Series '70 Government Model is a 1982 Colt .45 ACP with the 70B-prefix serial that collectors look for. It features a 5-inch barrel, classic Colt polished-flats/matte-rounds blued finish, and GI-style configuration with an arched mainspring housing and wide spur hammer. It comes with a Colt factory woodgrain box with a modern inventory sticker in place of the original factory end label (serial-numbered to 70B20264), two 7-round magazines, manual, and paperwork.

    What’s Included
    • Colt factory woodgrain cardboard box; original factory end label is missing and has been replaced by a modern inventory sticker (serial-numbered to 70B20264)
    • Manual
    • Paperwork
    • Two 7-round single-stack steel 1911 magazines with witness holes

Built in 1982, this Government Model represents the final era of the MK IV/Series '70, identified by the 70B-prefix serial. It retains the traditional 1911 pattern with single-action, short-recoil, locked-breech operation and a 7+1 capacity in .45 ACP.

The Colt blued finish shows polished flats and matte rounds, highlighting the factory craftsmanship associated with Series '70 pistols. The frame is carbon steel with an arched mainspring housing, GI-style controls, and a wide spur hammer. Checkered walnut grips with gold Colt medallions complete the classic look.

The slide is configured with vertical rear serrations, a non-lowered ejection port, and fixed sights consisting of a narrow blade front and square-notch rear. It uses a short, solid trigger with a left-side manual thumb safety and a grip safety, staying true to period features.

Markings include a Colt-marked barrel hood and a "5" inspection/assembler mark on the right front of the trigger guard. The right-side frame legend and factory Colt rollmarks are present, aligning with late-production Series '70 characteristics.
