Construction emphasizes durability: the frame is forged steel, while the slide and barrel are machined from bar stock. Both frame and slide wear a black Cerakote finish. Front and rear diagonal slide serrations aid purchase for press checks and administrative handling.
Ergonomics and controls are well appointed. An ambidextrous thumb safety and a grip safety with an extended beavertail and memory bump support consistent engagement. A flat, vertically serrated mainspring housing and a flared magazine well facilitate stable grip and efficient reloads. The solid, non-skeletonized trigger and rowel (commander-style) hammer round out the fire-control features.
