    What’s Included
    • Integral folding triangular-section spike bayonet (installed)

This Beretta (Gardone V.T.) Moschetto Mod. 91 per Cavalleria is the classic Italian cavalry configuration, combining a compact 18" barrel with a permanently attached folding spike bayonet. The carbine retains its P. BERETTA GARDONE V.T. barrel shank marking, and the right side of the barrel bears an import marking reading "CAI ST ALB VT" over "CARCANO 6.5" (Century Arms International, St.

    Albans, Vermont).

Purpose-built features include the downturned bolt handle and a full-length fore-end with a short upper handguard. The stock is Italian hardwood with a left-side butt sling bar and slot, and it ends in a steel two-screw buttplate. Length of pull measures 12.5".

Sighting equipment consists of an adjustable tangent/ladder rear sight with range graduations (not the fixed 200 m Mod. 38 pattern). The separate front sight blade that seats in the front band/bayonet base is missing; the base remains. The action uses the Mannlicher-type en-bloc 6-round system and is chambered in 6.5 Carcano.

Manufactured during 1940–1941, this WWII-era example was made in Italy and carries its factory serial on the barrel shank; the receiver ring shows a non-factory, importer-applied duplicate number. It presents as a correct per Cavalleria configuration with its integral bayonet and core cavalry carbine features intact.
