The Gen4 configuration adds an enlarged, reversible magazine release and compatibility with Glock's Modular Backstrap System. It also incorporates a dual recoil spring assembly designed to enhance service life and manage recoil.
The 3.78 in steel barrel is hammer-forged with Glock's polygonal rifling. The slide uses an external extractor and wears a black finish matched to the black polymer frame.
Sighting is via fixed polymer units: a white-dot front and a white-outlined U-notch rear. The frame features the Gen4 grip texture with finger grooves and an accessory rail for mounting compatible lights or similar devices.
Chambered in .45 ACP, the G30 Gen4 offers a standard capacity of 10+1 and accepts optional 9- or 13-round magazines, including compatibility with G21 13-round magazines. Markings read "MADE IN AUSTRIA GLOCK, INC., SMYRNA, GA.", and the slide, barrel, and frame share matching serial numbers.
