This H&R M16A1 Retro Series rifle pairs a 604 slick-side upper with a U.S.-made, gray-anodized M16A1-marked lower bearing the PROPERTY OF U.S. GOVT. legend and H&R lion logo. It features classic A1 furniture, a 20-inch pencil-profile barrel with 1:7 twist, and period-correct details such as an early slip ring and A1 birdcage flash hider. Modern H&R/PSA West Columbia, SC rollmarks identify current production, and three 20-round USGI-pattern magazines are included.
Condition
Overall Condition: Very good condition, showing only light, superficial signs of prior handling or use.
Bore Overall Condition: Excellent - Clean, mirror finish, no signs of wear.
Bore Rifling: Excellent Rifling - Sharp lands and grooves.
Specific Condition Notes: Minor, superficial scratches and small blemishes are present on the exterior surfaces from light handling. Surfaces are well preserved overall.

The 604 slick-side upper is true to early-pattern rifles with a fixed carry handle, A1 windage drum, and no forward assist or case deflector. An early slip ring secures the handguards, reinforcing the period-correct configuration.
The 20-inch pencil-profile barrel is marked 1:7 twist and is threaded with an A1 birdcage flash hider. An A-frame front sight base with bayonet lug and a bottom sling swivel complete the front-end details.
Furniture is classic A1: triangular polymer handguards, fixed A1-style stock with rear sling loop, and an A1 pattern checkered pistol grip. Length of pull measures 13.0 inches. Sighting is via A1 iron sights with the rear aperture in the carry handle and the A-frame front post.
The lower is M16A1-marked with the PROPERTY OF U.S. GOVT. markings and H&R lion logo. West Columbia, SC rollmarks denote modern H&R/PSA production in the United States. The rifle operates via a semi-automatic, direct impingement AR-15 platform in 5.56mm NATO with a 20+1 capacity.
