The slide is marked "RAMPART" and the frame is marked "TROY AL USA." Notable features include a longitudinal top window, a ported/vented muzzle extension, and fully adjustable target sights. This example comes with six 8-round KimPro Tac-Mag steel magazines and a suite of Kimber-branded accessories.

Built on the proven 1911 platform, the Rampart pairs single-action operation with a full-size steel format and an 8+1 capacity in .45 ACP. Both the slide and frame wear a matching OD green matte finish for a cohesive look.
The slide features rear cocking serrations, a longitudinal top window, a ported/vented muzzle extension, and a lowered/flared ejection port. The markings are clean and direct: "RAMPART" on the slide and "TROY AL USA" on the frame.
Target-focused sights include an orange fiber-optic front in a dovetail and a fully adjustable rear target sight with screw adjustments and a square-notch blade. This setup provides a clear, high-contrast sight picture.
Controls are thoughtfully executed with a beavertail grip safety featuring a memory bump and a left-side thumb safety. A solid, serrated trigger with a face-mounted overtravel/stop screw and a skeletonized commander-style external hammer round out the fire-control group.
Grip and handling elements include machine-cut frontstrap texturing and a flat, checkered mainspring housing. The installed grips are textured synthetic panels in a two-tone gray/black pattern, with a spare set included.
