Bushmaster XM15-E2S 5.56 NATO AR-15 Carbine, 16 in Chrome-Lined Threaded Barrel, A3 T-Marked Flattop, A2 FSB, 6-Position Stock - Windham, ME
This Bushmaster XM15-E2S is a Windham, Maine-marked carbine from the 2006–2011 production period, identifiable by its original-factory roll mark and BFI-prefix serial range. It features an A3 flattop upper with T-marked Picatinny rail, a 16-inch chrome-lined barrel with a 1:9 twist, and classic carbine furniture. It comes with a detachable rear sight and four USGI-pattern magazines.
Built on forged aluminum receivers with a black anodized finish, this XM15-E2S follows the AR-15 carbine pattern with a direct-impingement, semi-automatic action. The upper’s T-marked rail (T2–T12) provides a consistent reference for mounting and re-mounting accessories. The stated capacity is 30+1.
The 16-inch barrel is chrome-lined and threaded, with a 1:9 twist suited to common 5.56 NATO/223 Rem loads. It is a non-M4 profile barrel without the M4/M203 step. The bore is bright and clean with sharp rifling.
Sighting equipment includes an A2 front sight base with bayonet lug and a detachable rear aperture sight installed on the upper receiver rail. Furniture consists of a carbine-length, two-piece ribbed polymer handguard, an M4-style 6-position collapsible stock, and an A2-pattern pistol grip. Length of pull is listed at 14.0 inches.
Additional features include a manual safety selector and a stated maximum capacity of 30+1. This example is accompanied by three 30-round magazines and one 20-round magazine, all metal USGI-pattern types, with a mix of curved and straight-body styles shown.
