This MK18 is a factory Daniel Defense SBR configuration with a 10.3 in cold-hammer-forged, chrome-lined chrome-moly-vanadium barrel in a government profile. It runs a carbine-length, direct-impingement gas system with a pinned low-profile gas block. The barrel is threaded 1/2x28 TPI and comes with an A2-pattern flash suppressor, while the 1:7 twist supports a wide range of 5.56 NATO bullet weights.
The handguard is the Daniel Defense MK18 RIS II quad rail in FDE, measuring 9.55 in and machined from 6061-T6 aluminum. It bears CAGE code 3E3E2, P/N 01-004-8020, and NSN 1005-01-548-1385 markings. Ladder-style rail covers are installed for grip and protection, and a short vertical foregrip and a Daniel Defense QD sling mount are already in place. A folding front sight is installed.
Upper and lower receivers are 7075-T6 aluminum with a Type III hard-coat anodized finish. Controls include a selector marked SAFE/SEMI and a manual safety. The charging handle is the ambidextrous Daniel Defense GRIP-N-RIP, providing easy manipulation from either side. The rifle features a polymer pistol grip with a geometric texture.
This NFA short-barreled rifle is further configured with a Law Tactical folding stock adapter and a Magpul DT-PR adjustable carbine stock, adding compact storage and length-of-pull adjustability.
