Introduced at SHOT Show 2025 and built in West Palm Beach, Florida, the METE MC9 Prime is the first CANiK pistol manufactured in the United States. This micro-size 9mm pairs a ported, integrally compensated 3.64 inch barrel with Night Fision tritium sights and an optics-ready slide. It ships with four 17-round steel magazines and a complete factory kit.

The METE MC9 Prime is a micro-size, striker-fired 9mm designed around practical carry and modern features. Its U.S. manufacture and launch at SHOT Show 2025 make this specific variant notable within the METE series.
The 3.64 inch barrel is ported and integrally compensated, working with the slide's forward window to support the compensated system. Front and rear cocking serrations aid manipulation, and a top-of-chamber witness port provides a visual loaded-chamber check.
The slide is optics-ready with the cover plate installed and supports Shield RMSc, SIG RomeoZero, and MECANIK MO1/MO4 footprints. Night Fision tritium sights are factory-installed, with an orange-dot front and a square-notch rear for clear sight indexing.
The black polymer frame uses a wrap-around texture for grip and includes an ambidextrous slide stop/release and a 3-slot MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny accessory rail on the dust cover. The flat-faced aluminum trigger has a central safety blade and a defined 90-degree break. Safety features include a trigger safety lever, firing pin block, loaded chamber indicator, and striker status indicator.
Despite its micro footprint, this Prime variant carries a 17+1 capacity and comes with four steel magazines. Overall length is 6.73 inches, height 5.43 inches, width 1.20 inches, and weight is approximately 23.23 ounces with an empty 17-round magazine.
