The P30LS variant adds a long slide with front and rear cocking serrations and ambidextrous manual safeties to the proven P30 platform. This V3 configuration uses a traditional DA/SA trigger with a rear decocking button, ambidextrous slide releases, and an ambidextrous paddle-style magazine release. The frame is fiber-reinforced polymer with a MIL-STD-1913 accessory rail, and the slide wears HK’s HE (Hostile Environment) nitrocarburized finish.
A 4.45-inch cold-hammer-forged barrel with polygonal rifling anchors the system, paired with a 6.42-inch sight radius for clear sight alignment. Sighting is fast and intuitive thanks to the yellow fiber-optic front sight and a dovetailed rear notch.
Installed on the dust-cover rail is a frame-mounted, ported match-weight/compensator that aligns with the slide and adds a dedicated forward assembly without altering the barrel. This rail-mounted unit is secured to the frame and complements the long-slide configuration.
Safety features include ambidextrous manual safeties, a firing pin block, drop safety, a loaded-chamber indicator via the extractor, and the V3 rear decocker. Capacity is 15+1. Markings include CIP, DE, and Ulm antler proofs, with frame micro-text reading "Heckler & Koch GmbH / Made in Germany," and matching serial numbers on the barrel and frame.
