Built in 1952, this Pre-64 Model 94 reflects the features collectors and shooters look for in an early carbine. It has the correct 20-inch round barrel, full-length tubular magazine, two barrel bands, standard-size lever loop, and a steel checkered carbine buttplate. Winchester oval WP proof marks and the "WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL" barrel legend are present.
The receiver is a top-eject design and is not drilled or tapped on the top. The left receiver wall is factory drilled and tapped for receiver or side-mount sights, giving options for sighting systems that fit this configuration.
Stocked in walnut with a straight, uncheckered grip, the carbine balances well with a 13.0-inch length of pull and blued steel throughout. Both the barrel and receiver are steel with a matching blued finish appropriate to the era.
The bore condition stands out, described as clean and mirror-bright with excellent rifling. Sighting arrangement is as shown in the photos: a filler is fitted in the rear-sight dovetail, and the ramped front sight base remains in place.
Chambered in .30-30 with a stated 7+1 capacity, this Model 94 is configured as a classic carbine built in the USA during the Pre-64 era.
