What’s Included
- 8-inch detachable barrel assembly for Charter Arms Explorer II with knurled takedown collar
- 1x 25-round translucent polymer Ram-Line AR-7-pattern magazine
- 1x 8-round straight metal AR-7-pattern magazine
The Explorer II uses a simple blowback, semi-automatic action and feeds from AR-7 pattern detachable magazines. The open-top alloy receiver exposes the reciprocating bolt, with right-side ejection and a magazine well located ahead of the trigger guard.
The detachable barrel system is secured by a longitudinally knurled collar. The installed pistol barrel measures approximately 10 inches and carries an integral front blade on a ramp, paired with an open-notch rear sight adjustable for windage and elevation. Explorer II pistol barrels and AR-7 rifle barrels are intentionally non-interchangeable due to their indexing and lug geometry.
Construction is lightweight with an alloy frame and receiver in a black finish. The pistol uses iron sights and is fitted with a brown molded synthetic grip featuring horizontal serrations and a lanyard loop for practical carry points.
Markings include "EXPLORER II" and the Charter Arms circular logo on the left side of the receiver. Barrel rollmarks read "CHARTER ARMS CORP STRATFORD CONN" and ".22 LONG RIFLE ONLY." Capacity is magazine-dependent, and this pistol comes with both a 25-round Ram-Line AR-7-pattern magazine and a standard 8-round metal AR-7-pattern magazine, plus an extra 8-inch Explorer II barrel assembly.
