Made in Russia by Izhmash, this Saiga 7.62x39 is an RWC Group import from the final pre-2014 sanction period and has been professionally converted to an AK-style configuration. It features an ALG trigger, a Midwest Industries quad-rail handguard, and a Magpul Zhukov-S folding, length-adjustable stock. With a 16-inch barrel, stamped receiver with mag-well dimples, and Cyrillic/SAIGA rollmarks, it offers a desirable combination of Russian manufacture, pre-sanctions import lineage, and quality upgrades.
The stamped steel receiver retains its factory markings, including MADE IN RUSSIA BY IZHMASH, SAIGA, Cyrillic "САЙГА," RWC Group LLC Tullytown PA USA import mark, and factory cartouches. Selector markings include Cyrillic, and the serial is marked on the trunnion/right side. The black finish ties together the classic look with the modernized furniture and rail system.
The post-import AK-style conversion relocates the trigger to the standard AK position and plugs/rivets the original sporter holes. An ALG trigger is installed for a clean, refined pull, and a Magpul polymer pistol grip completes the control layout. The rifle accepts detachable box magazines with stated capacity up to 30+1.
Furniture and interface upgrades include a Magpul Zhukov-S stock that folds and adjusts to an approximate 12–15 inch length of pull, and a Midwest Industries quad-rail handguard (with position markings and U.S. Patent marking) for durable, repeatable accessory mounting. The receiver carries a smooth, AK-100/AK-74M-style top cover, and the overall configuration is balanced and practical.
