The FK-101 is a slant-grip, steel-frame target pistol from Hi-Standard’s 101 Series, built in Hamden, Connecticut. It carries model-specific markings: FK-101 on the right side of the slide and FIELD-KING on the barrel block. Chambered in .22 LR with a 10+1 capacity, it uses a semi-automatic blowback action with a detachable steel box magazine.
This example has the Field-King barrel installed. The installed barrel is a heavy-profile, approximately 6.75-inch round tube with an integral two-port muzzle brake and porting. It interfaces with Hi-Standard’s quick-change, push-button barrel system, allowing fast barrel swaps without tools.
Iron sights include a fully adjustable rear sight and a tall, serrated front blade for a crisp sight picture. The slide has rear serrations and a right-side ejection port. Controls and operation are straightforward and purpose-built for target use.
The steel frame features the classic 100/101 Series slant-grip geometry with checkered synthetic grip panels. The included High Standard Sport-King .22 LR barrel assembly (spare, not installed) further demonstrates the interchangeable barrel design of this platform.
