The MCX-SPEAR uses a short-stroke gas-piston system with a 2-position adjustable gas valve and a rotating bolt, providing reliable function across conditions and ammunition types. Dual charging handles include an AR-style rear handle and a left-side non-reciprocating handle for flexible manipulation. Controls include an ambidextrous safety selector and a right-side magazine release.
The factory 16-inch barrel has a 1:10 twist and a 5/8-24 threaded muzzle, fitted with a 3-prong QD flash hider. The bore condition is excellent with sharp rifling. Capacity is 20+1, and five Magpul PMAG LR/SR Gen M3 magazines are included.
The free-float, lightened aluminum M-LOK handguard integrates a full-length 12 o’clock Picatinny rail. The rifle is optics-ready with rail space for sights or optics; sight configuration is as pictured. The receiver is aluminum with a durable coyote tan finish.
