This Colt LE901-16S stands out as a true modular .308 Win carbine with a one-piece monolithic upper, a free-floated 16-inch barrel, and fully ambidextrous controls. The LE901-16S is built on Colt’s AR-10 platform and uses a semi-automatic, direct-impingement system. The 16-inch free-floated barrel is threaded and capped with a pronged flash suppressor. A pinned gas block supports reliability and integrates the folding front sight.
A one-piece monolithic upper provides a continuous T-marked Picatinny top rail and a quad-rail fore-end with B-marked bottom indices for consistent, repeatable accessory placement. The rifle ships with a folding front sight and no rear sight, leaving the top rail open for the user’s preferred sighting solution.
