The 4.5F Comp configuration integrates a single-port compensator into both the barrel and slide, paired with an integral-comp slide window to vent gases and manage muzzle movement. The 4.5 inch hammer-forged barrel wears a durable Melonite finish and uses a 1:10 twist for common 9mm loads.
The billet-machined slide features a Melonite finish, front and rear serrations, and an optic cut concealed by a cover plate. Under that plate is Springfield Armory's Variable Interface System, allowing direct mounting of compatible pistol optics without separate adapter plates. The pistol ships with U-Dot sights, combining a tritium/luminescent front dot with a Tactical Rack U-notch rear outlined in white.
A serialized stainless steel Central Operating Group chassis forms the core of the pistol, enabling grip-module swaps while maintaining the firearm's serialized component. The polymer frame is full-size with aggressive texturing and interchangeable backstraps to tune hand fit.
Controls are truly ambidextrous, including a fully ambidextrous slide stop and a push-button magazine release that is reversible and ambidextrous in operation. A 1913 Picatinny accessory rail with four slots is molded into the dust cover for lights or other rail-mounted accessories. This pistol is manufactured in Croatia by HS Produkt for Springfield Armory and carries a "CROATIA" slide marking. It is identified by Springfield Armory part number EC9459B-U-COMP and includes one 20-round and one 17-round magazine.
