Built at the Tula Arsenal in 1936, this 91/30 carries the star-with-arrow proof and Cyrillic-dated barrel shank, aligning it with the key interwar production period. The round receiver configuration and 29-inch barrel reflect standard later-pattern 91/30 construction.
Sighting equipment includes a hooded front post and a tangent rear leaf graduated in meters from 1 to 20, providing the classic 91/30 sight picture. The rifle uses a fixed internal 5-round magazine and a cocking piece safety.
The blued metalwork contrasts with the bolt body left in the white, and the rifle is stocked in hardwood with a full-length configuration and a separate upper handguard. Metal-lined sling-slot escutcheons accept the included dog-collar sling. A socket-bayonet interface is present at the muzzle.
Markings include the Tula star-with-arrow and the 1936 date on the barrel shank, along with CAI Georgia, VT import information. Matching-style serials with a Cyrillic prefix appear on the barrel shank and buttplate, and an importer-assigned serial is present on the barrel shank.
