Built on the Sako L46 Riihimäki short action, this rifle is a Sako at its core, with SAKO proof marks and the Riihimäki receiver marking confirming origin. The action includes a matching-numbered bolt with an in-the-white bolt body and feeds from a detachable 4-round magazine for a 4+1 capacity.
The 24-inch sporter barrel uses Marlin micro-groove rifling and is finished with a properly crowned muzzle. Chambered in .222 Rem, the bore shows good condition with well-defined rifling. A hooded ramp front sight is fitted.
The receiver carries integral Sako dovetail scope rails, currently hosting clamp-on ringmounts and a Tasco 6–24x40 variable-power scope with a fine crosshair reticle. This setup provides immediate utility while retaining the classic Sako mounting system.
The walnut stock features a pistol grip with cut checkering, sling swivels, and a hard buttplate, with a 14.0-inch length of pull. Metal surfaces are blued, consistent with mid-1950s production, and the rifle reflects the short production run of the Model 322 Marlin-barreled/Sako-action configuration.
