The seven-shot cylinder adds capacity while retaining the GP100’s proven robustness. This example uses a seven-flute cylinder in .357 Magnum and Ruger’s triple-locking system, providing secure lockup at the front, rear, and at the crane-to-frame latch beneath the barrel window.
The 3-inch barrel combines a heavy profile with a full underlug, and the topstrap and barrel rib feature longitudinal serrations. The stainless steel construction is finished in a satin/brushed sheen on the frame and cylinder.
Sighting is handled by an adjustable square-notch rear and an interchangeable front blade with a green/yellow dot insert. The system allows easy front-sight swaps while keeping the rear adjustable for precise zeroing.
This GP100 operates in double-action/single-action with a transfer bar safety. It includes an exposed, checkered hammer spur and factory rubber grips with inset hardwood panels bearing Ruger medallions. Made in the USA, it reflects current GP100 production from Ruger’s Newport, New Hampshire facility.
