The M400 TREAD V2 is built on the AR-15 platform with a semi-automatic, direct-impingement, rotating-bolt action. Its mid-length gas system is paired with an enhanced free-float aluminum handguard to keep the barrel isolated from external pressure.
The 16 inch barrel is free-floated and fitted with a low-profile gas block. It has a threaded muzzle capped by a three-prong flash hider and a distinctive silver finish.
Controls are modern and intuitive, including an ambidextrous manual safety plus a right-side bolt catch/release and safety lever. The flat-faced SIG Matchlite 2-stage trigger provides a clean, consistent break.
