This is a first-generation Delta Elite Government Model in 10mm, built in 1988 in the United States. It is configured in the MK IV/Series 80 system with a firing-pin safety, single-action operation, and a short-recoil, locked-breech design. Capacity is 8+1, and the platform is the full-size 1911 with a 5-inch barrel.
The slide and frame wear a factory blued finish over carbon steel. The slide features vertical rear serrations and a lowered, flared ejection port. A spur hammer complements the Government Model configuration.
Sights are an adjustable rear unit with a visible elevation scale and a front blade with a colored insert. The wraparound black rubber grips have pebble texturing and red Delta medallion insets that identify the model at a glance.
Factory markings are correct for this model and era: "GOVERNMENT MODEL" on the right side of the slide, and "DELTA ELITE COLT 10mm AUTO" with the Delta triangle on the left. The serial format follows the DE-prefix used for Delta Elite pistols of this generation.
