This Government Model uses the Browning short-recoil, tilting-barrel operating system with a GI-style barrel bushing and recoil spring plug. It is the full-size 5 inch configuration on a steel frame with a blued slide and frame finish, preserving the classic Colt 1911 profile.
The slide features front and rear cocking serrations and a lowered/flared ejection port. The pistol runs single-action only and includes both a thumb safety and grip safety, along with a rowel (Commander) hammer consistent with traditional Government Model form.
Targeting is straightforward via fixed 3-dot sights, combining a white-dot front blade with a two-dot rear. The installed Crimson Trace Lasergrips provide a notable custom upgrade while maintaining standard 1911 ergonomics. There is no accessory rail on the frame.
Factory-style markings include GOV ERNMENT MODEL and COLT GOVERNMENT MODEL with the Rampant Colt logo on the slide, and COLT .45 AUTO on the barrel hood. The frame bears the serial number (not disclosed). Capacity is 7+1, and one 7-round magazine is included.
