The Carry 9 DS uses a commander-length 4.25 in barrel made from 4140 steel with a bull, bushingless profile and a hard-chrome finish. Both the slide and frame are forged 4140 steel in olive drab green, matched to a removable polymer grip module with molded texture and a flared magwell funnel. The slide is optic cut and ships with a cover plate. It uses a direct-mount RMSc/Holosun 507K footprint designed for lower 1/3 co-witness per factory spec. Sighting equipment includes a fiber-optic green front and a black serrated rear, with a standard rear dovetail.
Controls are single-action only with an ambidextrous thumb safety and a grip safety. The pistol features a skeletonized trigger with an overtravel stop and a skeletonized rowel hammer.
